At least 30 teachers of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami-backed ‘White panel’ formed a human chain on Wednesday demanding peaceful learning environment and co-existence among the student organizations on Dhaka University (DU) campus.
The teachers protested and condemned the attack on Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) members by ruling party’s students wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on DU campus and demanded to withdraw the cases filed by DU authorities against the JCD leaders and activists.
They staged the human chain protest at the foot of Aparajeya Bangla of the university while they urged to the university administration and government to conduct fair trial about the clashes.
