The mayor candidates in the Dhaka North and South City Corporations election will exercise their franchise in their respective areas, sources said.
The polling will start from today’s 8am and continue till 4pm at a stretch.
Awami League’s mayor candidate for Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC)
Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh will cast vote at Dhanmondi’s Dr Maleka University College, while his main rival BNP’s Ishraque Hossain will do it at Shaheed Shahjahan Government Primary School in Gopibag.
Jatiya Party’s mayor aspirant for DSCC Saifuddin Ahmed Milon will go to Amligola Government Primary School polling center to cast his vote.
Among Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC)’s mayor candidates, AL’s Atiqul Isalm will cast vote at Uttara’s Nawab Habibullah School and College while his main opponent BNP’s Tabith Awal at Gulshan’s Manarat International School and College center.
DNCC’s mayor candidate and CBP leader Ahmed Sajedul Haque will cast vote at Adarsha School in Mirpur, while Islami Andolon’s Sheikh Fazle Bari Masud will cast vote at Rampura’s Ekranunnesa High School.
