Although Omicron has been spreading rapidly across the country, little consciousness exits among the general people.
Hygiene rules are not being compiled with in public places, transports, restaurant or even kitchen markets of the country.
The surprising matter is that the hygiene rule is not even being compiled with at the vaccination centers of the country.
It was seen on the spot that hundreds of people gathered in city’s Sarkari Karmachari Hospital for taking first dose of the vaccination program.
When asked, Millat Hossain, staff of the hospital told the New Nation yesterday that around 2000 people generally visit this hospital for the vaccination program.
Do you vaccinate all the people who come here daily, Millat said, we must vaccinate every person who come to this center daily. Actually we always maintain the daily routine. All SMS receiver people must be vaccinated whatever is the figure of them.
Is it open for all category people for the vaccination program, as it’s established only for government employees? A member of Ansar told the New Nation that there was no restriction for inoculation.
But other treatments, facilities as well as services of the hospital are reserved only for government employees, he said.
Md Hasan , 35, came from city’s old Dhaka told the New Nation that he applied for first dose of the vaccination on 9 January and got the SMS on January 28. I have been waiting here for half an hour taking inoculation.
However, people were seen in the line stuffing and indifferent to the hygiene rules as there was overcrowd.
In this issue, when tried to contact with Abu Ahmed Siddique, Director of Sarkari Karmachari Hospital, he couldn’t be received.
Corona infections have been on the rise since the beginning of January this year. The government has also issued a notification with 11-point restrictions to prevent this upward trend.
