Chuadang District Agriculture Extension Department has fixed target to cultivate wheat on 4, 605 hectares of land in the current Rabi cultivation season in all the four upazilas of the district.
The four upazilas of the district are Chuadanga Sadar, Alamdanga, Damurhuda and Jibannagar.
The District Agriculture Extension Department sources said of the total land, 105 hectares will be brought under cultivation in Chuadanga Sadar upazila, 2,500 hectares in Alamdanga upazila, 800 hectares in Damurhuda upazila and 1, 200 hectares in Jibannagar upazila.
The production target of wheat in the current season has been fixed at 13,815 metric tons. The cultivation of wheat in all the four upazilas of the district are going on full swing and expected to be completed by the end of this month, the sources further said.
