We bring you 5 rules that you should follow that tell you what NOT to do when on a weight loss journey.
Its important to keep these in mind as many of these rules, mentioned below, are easily broken by weight loss novices. When trying to lose weight, the don’ts are equally, if not more important than the do’s. So here they are: Some advice from people who have been there, done that, failed and then, eventually succeeded.
Don’t: Think of exercise as a chore – if you think of exercise as something you have to drag yourself to do everyday, then you are not going to be able to do it with the gusto, enthusiasm, and energy that you will need for the session to be productive. Therefore if going to the gym and lifting weights is not your thing, find other forms of exercise that just may do it for you. The options are plenty like: bootcamp, body combat, power yoga, and pilates.
Eat carb heavy food for dinner – in the night, try and keep it light. Chicken, soup, and a nice big salad should be your ideal meal. This will really help in the long run if you form the habit of eating light.
Many people come home from work starved and hence eat a hefty meal piling on chapatti after chapatti, but this isn’t the way to go if you want to lose weight. It’s important to get out of the mindset of falling back on the many chappatis and large quantities to feel like you’ve eaten a complete meal of any substance.
