The authority of the Department of Islamic Studies of the Jagannath University (JnU) reportedly took a semester final examination-2016 with the previous year’s question paper.
According to the sources, the questions of the 4th year eighth semester BA (Hons.) final examination under the course “Family Welfare and Gender Studies in Islam (Course No. 4204)” were thoroughly what it was in 2015.
The students alleged, “When we informed our chairman in this regard, he just penned through the year, 2016 in the question paper.” When contacted,
Professor Dr Adud Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Department and President of the Examination Committee, did not want to make any comment in this regard.
The two other members of the examination committee were Assistant Professor Nazrul Islam and Lecturer Khairul Islam of the department.
Controller of Examination AKM Akhtaruzzaman said, “We did not get any written objection in this regard till Tuesday evening.
