Mariott International has appointed Shakawath Hossain as the Resident Manager of The Westin Dhaka.
Shakawath is the youngest Bangladeshi to be assigned this role by Marriott International, reads a press release on Thursday.
He has served The Westin Dhaka for over 10 years. Before being promoted, he was posted as the Director of Operations of the luxury hotel.
During his tenure as its acting general manager, The Westin Dhaka reached a number of milestones, including earning the recognition of the highest profit generating food and beverage property amongst all Marriott International hotels in Asia Pacific.
