Western influences behind Hong Kong scenario

The recent turmoil in Hong Kong is another testament to the western powers’ prowess in exploiting a given opportunity to instigate the masses of a targeted country to rise up in revolt against their own government. The hallmark of their involvement in such movements is the abrupt eruption of large scale and well organized protests-with an extensive infrastructure in place to provide the logistical support to demonstrators-from food and beverage supply to the social networks and media coverage. Most of these protests emerge as fully funded ‘turn-key-projects’-ready to roll from the get-go. The world people have been observing the reach and the organizational capabilities of the West’s trouble-making and protest-generating apparatus around the globe; from Morocco to Egypt, and from Ukraine to Hong Kong. The objectives of the western powers in unleashing these destabilizing movements range from the warning shots to the full fledged Regime Change.
The success of the West’s Protest-Generating Apparatus depends upon the pre-existence of two essential elements in the targeted country: 1-Well entrenched facilitator elements-operating under the auspices of the so called ‘NGOs, and 2- The element of discontent among the populous-due to the extreme economic disparity and prevalent corruption. In the absence of any of these two essential tools, the Empire fails in its ‘protest manufacturing’ endeavor. One such case in point is their multiple attempts to instigate and sustain the mass anti-government protests in Iran-they all failed due to the lack of organizational support. Their latest trophy has been the accomplishment of the Regime Change in Ukraine. Ukraine did offer all the essential elements needed for the success of mass protests; a country infiltrated and penetrated by the Western NGOs, and an oligarchy owned government under a very corrupt and inept president.
Focus has now been shifted to Hong Kong, a very special case for the Empire-aside from being a former colony of the Crown, and the Opium trade hub. Hong Kong is home to LI Ka-shing, the most powerful Chinese billionaire, the operational center of HSBC, and the seat of some of the very powerful western corporate entities. Anyone names a Western affiliated NGO, and it is there-well entrenched into the Hong Kong’s social fabrics. The two of the most powerful NGOs that are at the heart of the current Hong Kong chaos are the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), and its appendix, the National Democratic Institute (NDI). Since 1997, NDI has been extensively meddling in Hong Kong’s internal affairs. It has been funding the political groups, youth organizations, and a variety of projects at various universities. The list of NDI funded groups includes some of the very vocal organizations in Hong Kong, which is at the forefront of the ongoing Occupy Central movement.
According to the western experts, the recent events in Hong Kong in many respects remind the Ukrainian scenario, which had been developed in the West. The protesters for the first time behaved so aggressive and followed the methods of civil disobedience, tested in other countries, using a formal occasion of disagreement with an election system of the local authorities. It has been noticed that the destabilization in Hong Kong has undoubtedly grown due to intervention of the external forces on carrying over the experience of “colour” revolutions from the Eastern Europe in the major administrative area of China. Many leaders of the movement “Occupy Central” had reportedly training preparation at special seminars held in the Hong Kong-American centre. The teachers, including special envoys of the US State department, during the seminars explained to the activists such subjects like tactics of protest movements, negotiations with the authorities during mass excitements and explained that it is a necessity of advancement of democratic changes by power methods.
That similar scenario allows saying that the Americans for constraining Beijing, simultaneously with playing ‘national cards’ in Tibet and Sintszjane, try to transfer their same efforts to the strategically important areas of China. However, the experts have noticed the solidarity and sympathy to the protesters expressed by Washington during these events occurred in Hong Kong. They have focused their attention on extraordinary rectilinear reaction of the USA to these events and concluded that Washington has used a situation for provoking mass protest actions. Further it is predicted that the American ruling elite will increase their secret assistances to the protesters to adjust their leaders with the long opposition to the authorities and also to provoke the Chinese authority to strict measures on suppression of protest performances. Thus rocking of an internal political situation in the Peoples Republic of China will make Beijing more vulnerable to external pressure that will hopefully come out as an advantage to fulfill the aspirations of USA in region.
To further lubricate the West’s trouble-making-protest-machine, the Hong Kongers have a traditional cultural bond, and an affinity to the western values. Even though the emerging economic and social reality is changing the perception, it is difficult for the old bondage to disintegrate without causing some bruises and cuts. As for the billionaires of Hong Kong, they understand that their future is aligned with the mainland, and the further growth of their wealth and power base is dependent upon their connection with the authorities in Beijing. But, still, as member of the global billionaires club, they have to pay their dues and maintain a working relationship with their western counterparts-they still have to work with the Western Banking System. Their apparent strategy is to please both sides-they surely supported and participated in the instigation of Occupy Central movement, but, at the same time, they didn’t want it to go out of hand. They fully understand the consequences and repercussions if the Occupy Central protest movement grows and spread beyond its envisioned parameters.
The persistence of the movement, specially the newly issued demands by a segment of the freshly minted and self-appointed leaders of the movement for the resignation of the Chief Executive by October 02, 2014, suggest that the Occupy Central is already morphing into a full fledged Regime Change operations-ready to sneak into the Mainland. The leaders of the movement are already threatening that their next step will be to occupy the inside of government buildings-following the lines of events in Ukraine. It would be a drastic move-crossing the point of no return. In such a scenario, either the authorities will have to resort to extreme measures, or risk further spread and deterioration of the situation. Further, the resilience of the protests is tarnishing Hong Kong’s reputation as a safe enclave for trade and commerce. It is also setting the stage for a prolonged struggle that poses a test for Beijing, which has been championing closer ties with all of its neighbors in general, and with its peripheries, Taiwan and Hong Kong, in particular.
