West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has postponed their ‘A’ team’s tour to Bangladesh due to unavoidable circumstances. The second string West Indian squad was expected to visit Bangladesh in June to play three four-day matches and five one-day games.
The WICB has recently informed BCB through a mail that they are not willing to visit Bangladesh as scheduled, said Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
The BCB CEO however said, “there is some uncertainty over the tour,” without elaborating the things further. He revealed that they have some limitation which barred them from visiting Bangladesh for the time being.
“There is some uncertainty [regarding the West Indies A team tour] because they have got some limitations,” Chowdhury said here today.
“They have got some internal problem and it is not wise on my part to disclose it. A board can face some kind of crisis at certain point of times and it can happen to any board and we should not judge them on this basis,” he added.
