Legendary Nazrul Sangeet artiste late Feroza Begum is going to be awarded the highest civil award posthumous Bongobibhushon by West Bengal government, India.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee invited Shusmita Anis, the disciple and niece of late Feroza Begum, to receive this Award on behalf of the family.
M Anis ud Dowla Chairman of ACI Group (brother of late Feroza Begum) will also attend the ceremony to be held on May 20 at the Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata.
In the invitation letter Mamata Benerjee appraised the outstanding talent of the late Feroza Begum and contribution of her effort in developing the classical music in this sub-continent.
