A week-long mosquito eradication and conservancy campaign formally inaugurated at Raozan Upazila Sadar with the slogan of ‘Clean own premises, be happy all and aware with Dengue and Chikongonia’ on Sunday.
In connection of the week-long programme , a rally led by local legislator and Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP was brought out at Upazila Sadar .
Among others Upazila Chairman AKM Ahsanul Haider Chowdhury Babul, UNO Jonaid Kabir Sohag, Vice- chairman Noor Mohammad, Acting President of Upazila Awami league Anowarul Islam, Panel Mayor-1 Bashir Khan, Panel Mayor-2 Zamiruddin Parvez and officials of upazila administration, local representatives participated the rally .
Another report says : A mosquito eradication and Conservancy campaign and prevent dengue programme was inaugurated at Dampara Police lines Multipurpose Shade with the slogan of ‘ Clean own premises, be happy all and aware with Dengue and Chikongonia’ on Wednesday .
Deputy Police Commissioner (HQ) Samol Kumar Nath presided the programme.
Among others, present during the meeting Additional Deputy police Commissioner (HQ) Mohammed Hasan Chy, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (E & D)Nadia Noor,Assistant Police Commissioner Srima Chakma, Asst. Police Commissioner (Force)Yasir Arafat and other Senir officers were present. Later, police lines premises were cleaned to prevent Dengue & Chikongonia’.
 Rumors being spread through social media: Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram Abdul Mannan said that rumors about dengue are being spread through social media, rumors are spread that ten people have died when one died due to dengue.
The divisional commissioner made these comments on Wednesday while participating in the mosquito eradication program at Chittagong PTI School premises.
Md. Abdul Mannan said, public awareness should be created to prevent dengue. Keep your house clean and tidy. Dengue prevention is possible if everyone is aware that the mosquito breeding ground is destroyed.
He said the government has taken a comprehensive program to prevent dengue, adding that the government is serious about preventing dengue. In the meantime, the leave of the officials of the Ministry of Health has been canceled. Free medical care is being provided at the government hospital. Dengue test fees have been fixed at the private hospital.
“If there is any negligence in the service of dengue patients or extra money for treatment, then action will be taken against those concerned.” Divisional Commissioner added. Among others present during the programme , Divisional Deputy Director of the Department of Primary Education Md. Sultan Miah presided over the meeting.
 Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Shankar Ranjan Saha, Deputy Director of Local Government, Depak Chakraborty, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Habibur Rahman, Department and District Administration were present during the programme.
