The Walton Friendship Cycle Rally comprising cyclists of Bangladesh and West Bengal concluded on Wednesday at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS).
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder MP was the chief guest on the closing day ceremony and handed over the crests among the participating cyclists.
Walton group operative director head of games and sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar was present as special guest. Celebrated sports organizer Farida Akter Begum and Walton Group senior assistant general manager Mehrab Hossain Asif, were among others, present on the occasion.
Organised by Kolkata Football Lovers Association, a total of 12 cyclists from Kolkata started their rally from Kolkata on April 5 and crossed the border through Benapole.
Eight Bangladeshi cyclists, who also joined with the 12 Indian cyclists at Benapole, reached the capital on Tuesday last after passing through Jessore, Narail, Faridpur and Manikganj.
