Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) hosted a webinar on Cyber Security: Prospects and Challenges in Bangladesh recently. Professor Dr. Muhammed Fayyaz Khan, Vice- Chancellor of BUBT spoke in the webinar as the Chief Guest.
The Vice Chancellor said that Cyber-attacks have increased alarmingly in Bangladesh. We need to be more careful about getting out of this. We know hackers as geniuses. These talented people need to be removed from harmful activities and engaged in productive work. There is a lack of skilled manpower to increase the cyber security of government and non-government organizations in the country. In order to overcome this crisis, we need to make it easier for us to choose subjects in education.
Maruf Hassan, Director, Cyber Security Center, Daffodil International University, Tanvir Hassan Zoha, Cyber Security Expert and Founder and Managing Director, Backdoor Private Ltd., MoniruzZaman, Cyber Security Expert, Bugsbd Limited delivered presentations on Cyber Security and it different aspects.
Speakers said that the internet has given us many opportunities. And the risk of this advantage is cyber-attack. We need to be alert about using weak passwords, pirated software and malicious links to keep personal information and resources safe. Formulation and implementation of IT security policies and guidelines for the organizations is the demand of this time.
