BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said that his party men escorted by the members of the public will return home only after taking the polls result on December 30.
“You should not leave the polling centers before polls results are announced. We should answer all conspiracies by ballot revoulution. The victory will surely be ours InshaAllah,” Mirza Fakhrul said while addressing a election rally in Syedpur of Nilphamari district supporting Amjad Hossain Sarkar, BNP candidate for Nilphamari-4.
The BNP leader said, whether people will lead an independent life or not, it will depend on the December 30 polls.
“The EC and the government have failed to create a level playing field. There is no congenial polls atmosphere in the country for the December 30 Parliamentary election. This polls will decide whether the people of Bangladesh would lead an independent life or chained one,” the BNP leader said.
Mirza Fakhrul criticized the law enforcement agencies for their partisan role.
“It seems to us that the law enforces are doing Awami League’s jobs instead of maintaining the country’s law and order. It is unacceptable to the people,” he said.
He also called upon law enforcement agencies to create a congenial atmosphere so that people can cast their votes in a free and fair manner.
Accusing the government of hatching conspiracy ahead of the polls, Fakhrul said leaders and activists of the BNP and the Jatiya Oikyafront will foil the plot facing all sorts of challenges.
Mirza Fakhrul said, the government is afraid of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and that is why she has been sent to jail on fake charge.
