The fifth death anniversary of renowned nuclear scientist and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s husband Dr M A Wazed Miah (Sudha Miah) will be observed here in a befitting manner today.
Dr Wazed Smriti Sangshad (DWSS), district and city units of Awami League (AL), its Pirganj
upazila unit, other organisations and institutions will observe death anniversary of the brilliant son of this soil through daylong programmes.
General Secretary of DWSS Saiful Islam Jahangir said his organisation have finalised daylong programmes to observe the death anniversary of Dr Wazed in village Fatehpur and in the city.
The DWSS at a meeting on Tuesday night with Dr Wazed’s childhood friend, President of DWSS and valiant freedom fighter Advocate Abdul Gani in the chair, finalised the programmes.
Dr Wazed’s childhood fried, Vice-president of DWSS Monwar Hosain and its General Secretary Saiful Islam Jahangir, Law Affairs Secretary Advocate Rothish Chandra Bhowmick, social worker AKM Mozammel Haque, addressed the meeting.
