Wazed Miah Krira Chakra will face Shantinagar Club in the final of the Walton 1st Dhaka Metropolis Football Tournament at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur today. The match kicks-off at 2.00 pm.
Earlier, Wazed Miah Krira Chakra moved into the final beating Azampur Football Club by 4-3 goals in the tie-breaker of the first semi-final on August 5.
On the other hand, Shantinagar Club reached the final defeating BKSP by a solitary goal in the second semi-final on August 6.
The champions will be awarded Taka one lakh, while the runners-up will get Taka fifty thousand.
After the final match, Operative Director (Head of Sports & Welfare Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Managing Director of Saif Powertec Limited Tarafder Md Ruhul Amin will be with him as the special guest.
Head of Brand & Communications of Minister High-tech Park Limited Golam Kibria and former coach of Bangladesh National Football team Golam Sarwar Tipu will be present at the time.
A total of 12 teams splitting into four groups are taking part in the Walton 1st Dhaka Metropolis Football Tournament.
