Water quality of DND conveyance canal deteriorates significantly due to indiscriminate dumping of garbage and toxic wastes, resulting in poor quality of treated water at the Saidabad Water Treatment Plant (SWTP). Dhaka WASA utilizes a section of the DND conveyance canal to convey raw water from Sarulia intake on the Sitalakhya River to the SWTP. This snap was taken from the canal’s Matuail section on Friday.
