State Minister for CHT Affairs Bir Bahadur MP inaugurated the pump house at Roangchari Bus Station area in Bandarban built by Bandarban Hill District Council and Direcorate of Public Health and Engineering on Sunday .
Mr. Kyashwe, Chariman, Bandarban Hill District Council, Mr K.M Tariqul Islam, Deputy Commissioner . Bandarban , Sohrab Hossain, Exceutive Engineer of Public Health Bandarban were present on the occasion.
Exceutive Engineer Mr. Sohrab Hossain said, coverage to safe-water supply would be upgraded heightened to 66.18 percent from 44.03 per cent which is the direct result of construction of booster pump house built at a cost of 50 lakh under the scheme for the development of water supply system in Bandarban district comprising all upazillas.
He expressed said that long lasting water crisis in the municipal areas of Bandarban will come to an end.
