Water levels in 34 rivers rise, 56 fall

Water levels in 34 rivers stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 56 stations recorded fall.
Among the 94 monitored water level stations, three are in steady state, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Sunday.
The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and the Ganges-Padma Rivers are in falling trend which may continue in next 48 hours.
The major rivers of the Upper Meghna basin are in rising trend which may become steady in next 24 hours.
A total of 131 mm rainfall was recorded during last 24 hours ending at 6 am today at Kanaighat, 113 mm at Dalia, 82 mm at Lallakhal and 67 mm at Panchagarh, 50 mm at Sunamganj and 45 mm at Sreemongal.
