Water levels in 18 rivers rise, 74 fall

Water levels in 18 rivers stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise and 74 stations recorded fall.
Among the 94 monitored water level stations, one is steady, a bulletin issued by FFWC said on Friday.
All the major rivers are flowing below their respective danger levels. The Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers are in rising trend. The Brahmaputra river may start to fall in next 24 hours and the Jamuna river may start to fall in next 48 hours.
The Ganges-Padma rivers are in falling trend which may continue in next 72 hours.
The Upper Meghna basin rivers are in falling trend which may continue in next 72 hours.
