Dhaka City Corporations (DCCs) have claimed that they have removed all waste of the animals sacrificed on the Eid-ul-Azha from most of the areas in the capital in keeping with their earlier announcement.
Cleaners were seen busy removing waste during the visits to different areas under both DCC North and DCC South on Saturday.
But despite their efforts, an overpowering stench still remained making it somewhat difficult to stroll along many streets.
Animals were slaughtered in front of houses, garages or wherever people found it convenient, littering the streets with blood and waste, during the Eid on Friday.
Many in the capital also sacrificed animals on Saturday in accordance with their traditions.
