A court hereon Tuesdayissued a warrant for the arrest of BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman and eight others in a case filed under the Special Powers Act.
The court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge passed the order after a hearing on the case in the morning. Mominul Islam, inspector of Special Branch of Police, said the case was filed against Tarique, his friend Lutfar Rahman Badal,
Monjurul Karim Rony, son of Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Mannan, and six others with Joydebpur Police station in 2015.
