Warm clothes sale vibrant in K’ganj town footpath

The sale of warm clothes on footpath shops in the town has become vibrant recently . People are rushing to these shops to buy their chosen clothes at lower price amid cold weather .
The shops are warm clothes are located at various places of the town. Particularly, heavy crowd of shopkeepers and buyers has been found on the footpath near Bara Bazar Teripatty and Municipality open Market.
Apart from this, traders at different parts of the town have been found selling the cloths on mobile vans. Customers are gathering to these vans to buy their clothes at low cost.
While visiting different markets of the town, including Kishoreganj Judge Court area, Puranthana Bazar, Railway Station, Rathkhola, Akhra Bazar, Kali Bari Moor, Firmgate Moor, Gouranga Bazar Bridge, New Market and Municipality open Market etc., it was found that the shops have warm clothes for people of all age groups.
Hasina Akter Mili, a buyer at Municipality Open Market said good quality clothes are available at low prices here. But, this year the price of the clothes is higher than last year.
A shopkeeper Md. Karimullah said that people will not get warm clothes at last year’s price this year, because the bale of per warm clothes was Taka 12,000 last year which is now Taka 15,000. For this, the price of warm clothes is a bit more this year.
Shopkeeper Rahim Uddin said with the increase of winter, the price of warm clothes will increase. Every coat is selling at Taka 800 to 1,500 and a blanket is selling at Taka 400 to 2,500.
Although they did not start trading yet, they are getting orders every day. It was found that traders at Akhra Bazar, Gouranga Bazar, Puranthana, New Market are passing busy time.

Blankets distributed
 Blankets were distributed among 100 cold-hit distressed people on Wednesday night (11 December ) in Kishoreganj Gaital Inter District Bustand and Kishoreganj Railway Station under the initiative of Kishoreganj Ladis Club.
Deputy Commissioners wife & Ladies s Club President Sumona Anwar, Police Super wife & Ladis Club Vice-President Mahafuza Naznin Disher Chowhdury, Deputy Director of Local Government wife & Ladies Club Member Dolena Khatun Dulon, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Abdul Kadir Mia, Ladiess Club General Secretary and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rabeya Akter, Additional Police Super (Crime) wife Hosna Layal, Assistant Commissioner & Executive Magistrate and Lades Club Member Umma Hafsa Nadia, Negarat Deputy Collectorate Mir Md. Al Kamah Tomal were also present.
