Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed has distributed winter clothes among the helpless and distressed people during his visit to Rangpur area of 8th Infantry Division on Thursday afternoon. He distributed blankets among 400 needy people at Raidyanath Government Primary School ground in Gaibandha’s Sundarganj upazila of greater Rangpur district. The army chief said the army was distributing winter gloves as well as providing medical services. The Bangladesh Army will continue such public service activities in the future as well. While inspecting the Rangpur area, the Chief of Army Staff was accompanied by Major General Md. Faizur Rahman, 8th Infantry Division and Area Command. Notable personalities of the area including senior military officers of the army were present at the time.
Bijoynagar (Brahmanbaria) Correspondent reports : Blankets were distributed among more than 500 poor and helpless families in Islampur village of Budhanti UP in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.
Blankets have been distributed among more than 500 families at the initiative of Haji Mahmuzzaman Foundation in Islampur village on Wednesday morning.
Presided over by Md. Riaz Uddin Rubel, Advisor of the Foundation, it was attended by Md. Faisal Ahmed of National Intelligence Agency (AD), Md. Ziadul Haque, General Secretary of Press Club, Md. Mizanur Rahman (Judge Mia), Awami League organizing secretary Ijazur Rahman Rakib, Swechchhasebak League leader Jewel Bhuiyan, Juba Dal leader Hasan Bhuiyan, Roshan Mia and others.
Ishwardi (Pabna) Correspondent adds: Former Land Minister late Shamsur Rahman Sharif’s son and Awami League Information and Research Sub-Committee member Sakibur Rahman Sharif distributed blankets and winter clothes among the helpless and destitute in Ishwardi on the occasion of the golden jubilee of victory. On Thursday, winter clothes were handed over to 2,500 distressed people at their residence on Alibordi Road.
Meanwhile, member of the sub-committee and minister’s son Kanak Sharif said, he has stand by the helpless cold-stricken people on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Victory Day to continue the love of the late father towards the people of the area.” Inshallah, we will always be by the side of the people in any hardship, just as we were by the side of the helpless and uprooted people of the area during the Corona time.
Leaders of Awami League, Juba League, Chhatra League and affiliated organizations of Ishwardi were present at the time.
