Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) is going to put its 41-No Ward in Wari under lockdown on Saturday.
The Directorate General of Health Services has already identified the roads and areas of Wari for enforcing the lockdown considering the health risks.
As part of the preparations, the DSCC has already set up barricades with bamboo fences. Two gates are being constructed for the residents of the area to enter and exit as the 15 roads will be put under the lockdown. A total of 200 volunteers will work in the locked down area.
Meanwhile, the DGHS is setting up a temporary corona testing booth in the area.

Earlier on Tuesday, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) identified the Wari area in the capital as a red zone and decided to enforce a 21-day lockdown there from Saturday.
He said the eight roads in Wari area will be locked down for 21 days from July 4 to July 25.
“Everything will remain closed, except the drug stores and the shops of essential goods,” Taposh said.
The mayor also said arrangements will be made to supply daily essentials in the area in coordination with the E-Commerce Association.
He said a control centre will be set up at Wari alongside a booth for the sample collection of corona suspected patients. “An isolation centre will also be there.”
After East Razabazar, Wari will be the second area in Dhaka to go under lockdown in a bid to contain the coronavirus.
