As per the latest instructions of the government, corona vaccination will be given on next Saturday (August 7) in every ward of the city and in the former wards of the upazila union. Of these, 300 people will be vaccinated at 3 centers in each ward of the city. 600 people in the center of the union.
Chittagong Civil Surgeon Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi confirmed the matter that the corona vaccination program has been limited to one day at the ward level as per the government directives which will be extended again following the further instructions. Meanwhile, widespread coverage of the life-saving corona vaccine has sparked widespread interest among the general population in Chittagong. There is a rush to photocopy the national identity card and birth registration in every neighborhood. Advance registration booths have been introduced in various wards. The councilors have also finalized the list of 200 candidates per center for the first day in some wards.
“There are thousands of vaccinators in our ward,” said Morshed Alam, councilor of the customs ward. Now I have learned that initially one day, Saturday will be vaccinated at the ward level. However, regular vaccinations will continue in the hospital centers by registering in the safety app. So everyone has to register. According to the source, the elderly, the sick, women and the disabled will be vaccinated on the basis of advance registration at each vaccination center on August 8 with priority.
