The allegation is against another ward counselor Ward counselor of ward number 2 of Narayangonj city corporation, Jahirul Islam has been allegedly abducted in broad daylight along with four other people from Narayanganj District court premises on Sunday afternoon. Shahidul Islam, additional superintendent of police, Narayanganj, said they received a verbal complaint about the issue from Selina Hossain, wife of ‘abducted’ Jahirul. “Selina alleged that ward 4 counselor Nur Hossain’s men kidnapped her husband,” the ASP said. Jahirul Islam attended a hearing at the court early in the morning. His chauffeur and three of his supporters rode on his car at court premises at about 2pm. Some miscreants took them away at gunpoint, Salina claimed. No trace of them has been found till filling of the report. Selina said Nur Hossain tried to assassinate her husband several times and they had some disputes over political issues. Both Jahirul and Nur Hossain are leaders of the ruling Awami Leauge.
