War crimes prosecutor Mohammad Ali removed

The government has removed International Crimes Tribunal prosecutor Mohammad Ali from his post for breaching the professional code of conduct .
Law and Justice Division issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
The notification, signed by deputy solicitor Md Moniruzzaman, said Mohammad Ali has been removed from his post for breaching the professional code of conduct and discipline.
He had been appointed as tribunal prosecutor on October 5, 2011. Earlier on November 11, 2019, the government cancelled the appointment of Tureen Afroz as prosecutor of the tribunal, citing allegations of professional misconduct against her.
