Forkan Mallik, 62, an accused in a case of war crime at Mirzaganj of Patuakhali, was arrested from Rupatali area of Barisal on Wednesday morning.
Jafrul Hasan, detective branch sub inspector of Patuakhali district police, confirming the report said Forkan was arrested by the team led by him as per warrant issued by the Patuakhali district and session judge court.
One Abdul Hamid of Shoulabunia of Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali lodged a case (no.6) against Forkan with Mirzaganj police station of on July 21, 2009.
In that case the complainant alleged that Abdul Qader Jamaddar, Subidkhali AL president, Habib alias Yazuddin Khalifa, AL activist of Kakrabunia, Dr. Debendranath and his wife, minority people of Subidkhali, were nabbed and killed.
