The Walton Women’s Beach Football Tournament begins on today at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association has organized the football competition under auspices of Walton Group.
Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation is the hospitality partner, while the tournament will be held under supervision of Beach Management Committee, DC of Cox’s Bazar and Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police.
A total of eight teams are competing in the three-day long football competition. They are: ‘Brazil’, ‘Argentina’, ‘Germany’, ‘Spain’, ‘England’, ‘France’, ‘Japan’, ‘Portugal’.
The champions will get Taka 30 thousand, while the runners-up will be awrded Taka 20 thousand. The participating teams will be given Taka five thousand each.
The competition will come to an end on July 3.
