Walton will boost share market

Capital market analysts opined that shortages of good shares are a major hurdle in raising the country’s stock market. And therefore, they emphasized on listing domestic and multinational companies like Walton in the capital market to increase the supply of good shares in the market.
Financial analysts say that good companies have not come to the capital market for almost a decade. As a result, there has been a lack of good shares in the market. However, after a long time, the process of listing good and strong asset-based companies like Walton on the capital market has attracted a lot of interest from investors and other stockholders. They believe that good issues like Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited will play a positive role in improving the capital market.
Mohammad A Hafiz, president of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA), said that Walton is a reputed company in the country. Walton would be able to gain investors’ confidence in the share market.
Hafiz also said that the best shares should be kept at any of the share markets otherwise share markets couldn’t be developed. So companies like Walton should be listed in the market. Integrated initiatives should also be taken at government and private levels in this connection.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) Mojib Uddin Ahmed said that it will be positive if Walton will come to the capital market. Share market will be turned into a good place to invest after Walton’s listing here, he added.
DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA) President Sharif Anwar Hossain said Walton has huge turn over. They have excellent EPS, P/E ratio. Overall it is a good company. Investors will be benefited if Walton is listed in the share market.
