Walton set target to sell 7 lakh LED TV in 2017

Experiencing the growing demands for its LED televisions, the country’s electronics giant ‘Walton’ has set a target of selling out seven lakh pieces of LED televisions in the current year, a 103 percent growth in the sales turnover of televisions compared to the previous year, said a press release.
The Walton authorities said the company sold out total of 3.44 lakh LED televisions and thus registered about 313 percent sales’ growth in 2016 compared to the sales of 2015. In the last year, the local company witnessed a colossal growth in the television sales as the supply of new models of LED televisions with modern technologies lured all classes of viewers in the local market.
The company’s officials is very much optimistic about the achievement of the target of selling out 7 lakh LED TVs in 2017 as they posted 118.21 percent growth in LED TV sales in this year’s Dhaka International Trade Fair against the television sales of last year’s DITF. The growth is also continued in the month of February, 2017.
Walton is seeking 28 new patents in the television technology, which are now under approval process, they also informed adding, these innovations will make a pivotal role in the world’s television research.
Walton Group’s Additional Director and TV Sourcing Engineering Head Mostafa Nahid Hossain said, Walton is going to start a new era in the television technology through achieving remarkable progress in electronics, optical and mechanical design of high-tech television sector.
