Walton registers record AC sales

The local electronics giant Walton has registered about 181.01 percent growth in the sales of its air conditioner during the months of January to May of 2019 as against the sales of the corresponding period of the previous year, led the local brand to record sales of AC in the domestic market, says a media release.
The data was disclosed at a programme on “Celebration of Booming sales of Walton AC” held at Walton Corporate Office in the capital on Saturday (June 1, 2019).
The programme was attended by Walton Group’s Executive Directors Eva Rezwana, Amdadul Haque Sarker, SM Zahid Hasan, Humayun Kabir, Md. Tanvir Rahman, Mohammad Rayhan, Deputy Executive Director Shahjada Salim, Operative Director Ishaque Rony, Additional Operative Director Khandker Shahriar Murshid and Deputy Operative Director Mofizur Rahaman.
At the event, Walton AC’s Chief Executive Officer Md. Tanvir Rahman said, sales of Walton AC in the domestic market were gone up sharply with the raise of local temperature. To meet the increased demand, he said, Walton is going to set up new production line in its factory with the world’s latest technologies and state-of-the art machineries.
Targeting the export market, Walton has strengthened its research and development (RnD) team for AC through recruiting highly experienced local and foreign engineers, he said adding: thus the product’s quality has been further improved and new models of huge energy-efficient air conditioners are released in the market.
There are some unique factors beyond the booming sales of Walton AC, he mentioned that these are: releasing new models of AC with latest technologies and features; giving 10 years guaranty on the compressor of inverter AC and 6 months replacement guaranty facility, offering customers to change their used AC of any brand with the new one of Walton brand under the Walton AC Exchange Offer, 1-year electricity bill free, new car, sure cash vouchers up to Tk 1 lakh, various sorts of free products or gold edition cricket bat-ball with the autograph of Bangladesh National Cricket Team’s capital all-rounder Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, allowing 10 percent discounts on the purchase through credit cards of different banks.
