The Walton Photo Journalists’ Sports Festival concluded on Tuesday. Nur Hossain Pipul of Naya Diganta, Abdul Aleem Bhuiyan Shaheen of the Report24.com, Khorshed Alam Rinku of Sakaler Khabar became first, second and third in the Swimming Competition respectively.
Kajol Hajra of Samakal, Ataur Rahman Babu of Financial Express, Muid Khondker of Destiny emerged champion, runner-up and third in the Chess Competition respectively.
Motiur Sentoo (Inqilab)-Jibon Ameer(Observer) duo emerged champions in the doubles of Carrom Competition while Ataur Rahman Babu (Financial Express)-Indrojit Kumar Ghosh (New Age) duo became runners-up in the same event, Kajol Hajra (Samakal) -Sharif Sarwar (Jai Jai Din) duo finished third in the same competition.
The prize-giving ceremony was held at the auditorium of Bangladesh Photo Journalists’ Association on Tuesday.
Freedom fighter Md Hamidul Haque Chowdhury distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while Additional Director of RB Group Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Advisor of ATN Bangla Mir Md Motahar Hasan were with him as special guests.
President of Bangladesh Photo Journalists’ Association AKM Mohsin, General Secretary of the Association Mir Ahmed Miru and Convener of the Tournament Committee Indrojit Kumar Ghosh were present at the time.
Rafiq Uddin Enayet conducted the occasion.
