The Walton Metropolis FIDE Rating Chess Tournament will start on July 4 at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
Bangladesh Chess Federation will organize the chess competition under auspices of Walton Group. ATN Bangla, Radio Today and Risingbd.com will be the media partners.
To mark the forthcoming chess meet, a press conference was held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room on Thursday.
Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Vice-President of Bangladesh Chess Federation and Chairman of the Tournament Committee KM Shahidullah and International Arbitrator Hrun-ur-Rashid spoke at the conference.
Around 150 chess players (Below 2100 rating) will take part in the nine-round Swiss League basis competition. Top 16 players will get chance to play in National B Chess Championship.
The competition will come to an end on July 24.
Top 16 players will be awarded Walton Home Appliances.
