Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has taken various initiatives for sound physical and mental development of women in family, society and workplace. In this regard, Golam Murshed, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company announced a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) panel titled ‘Female Involvement in Versatile Empowerment.’ This is the country’s first time that Walton has taken the initiative to form such panel in the electronics and technology industry.
On Monday he inaugurated the panel at a function organized on the occasion of ‘International Women’s Day-2022’ at Walton corporate office in Dhaka. He also opened a sanitary napkin vending machine installed at the corporate office. The female officials of Walton can easily collect napkins from there, said a press release.
Walton’s Deputy Managing Directors Nazrul Islam Sarker, Amdadul Haque Sarker, Eva Rezwana, S.M. Shoyeb Hossain Nobel and Humayun Kabir were present.
