Walton Group accorded a warm reception to Bangladesh National Women’s Football team at the auditorium of National Sports Council (NSC) Tower on Thursday. Bangladesh National Women’s Football team became runners-up in the SAFF Women’s Championship at Siluguri in India on January 4.
Earlier, Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn announced that if Bangladesh National Women’s Football team emerge as the champions of the gala football meet for South Asian women, the each member of the contingent will be awarded a Walton 10 CFT Refrigerator. He also announced that if Bangladesh National Women’s Football team become runners-up of the competition, the each member of the contingent will get a Walton 32 inches LED Television.
The each member of the contingent was given a Walton 32 inches LED Television at the warm reception progrmame on Thursday Noon.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder was the chief guest while Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy, Head of Sports and Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Secretary of NSC Ashok Kumar Biswas, Director (Sports) of NSC Dil Mohammad, Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedy, Vice-President of BFF Mohiuddin Mohi, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Chairperson of Women’s Wing of BFF Mahfuza Akter Kiron were present as special guests.
President of BFF and President of SAFF Kazi Salahuddin presided over the reception ceremony.
The recipient players were: Sabina Khatun (Captain), Sabina Akter, Sheuli Azim, Shamsunnahar, Nargis Khatun, Masura Parvin, Sahjida Akhter, Maynu Marma (Vice-Captain), Mishrat Jahan Moushumi, Sirat Jahan Shopna, Marzia, Krishnarani Sarkar, Nilufa Yesmin Nila, Maria Manda, Anai Mogini, Israt Jahan Ratna, Anuching Mogini, Rowshan Ara, Munmun Akter and Mahmuda Akhter.
