The Walton-DRU Media Cricket Tournament begins today at the Outer Stadium. A total of 52 media and print houses splitting into eight groups will take part in the first phase of the cricket meet for the newsmen. The first phase will be held on knock-out basis. Top one team from each group will play in the quarter-final.
Marking the upcoming cricket meet, a press conference was held at the Sagar-Runi Auditorium in Dhaka Reporters Unity on Tuesday. Sports Secretary of DRU Maksuda Lisa disclosed all the details of the tournament. President of DRU Mursalin Nomani presided over the programme. General Secretary of DRU Mashiur Rahman Khan delivered the address of welcome.
