Walton, an electronic equipment manufacturer of the country, has increased manufacture of television ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup-2015 and Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF).
Walton, a brand of RB Group of Industries, increased the production maintaining standard and quality to meet the huge demand targeting the two events the ICC Cricket World Cup scheduled for February-March next year while the DITF is expected to start in January 2015.
However, the large production reduced its costing. So, prices of all kinds of Walton brand television sets, including LED TV, have been lessened. Currently, Walton has a total of 64 different models of LED and CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) television sets.
Market analysis says the demand of CRT, LCD and LED television sets rises during the World Cup. The demand of Smart LED television has rose in recent times with the achievements of technological perfection. Considering the facts, the production of Walton television sets has been increased several times.
Authorities concerned said Walton has 32 different model LED television sets starting from 14-inch to 55-inch. Prices of different models have been reduced from Tk300 to Tk10,000. 14-inch LED television is now available at Tk9,500. Tk1,000 has been cut from the price of 16-inch LED television. The 16-inch LED television now costs only Tk10,900. A 55-inch LED television can now be purchased at Tk90,900. The price cut not only applicable for LED televisions but also for CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) televisions. Consumers can buy a CRT TV at Tk7,600 while it was Tk9,500 earlier. Besides, a 21-inch CRT TV can be purchased now at Tk10,950.
