Walton 2nd Beach Bodybuilding Tournament begins today at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach.
Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation has arranged the bodybuilding competition while Walton Group is the title sponsor of the meet.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation Md Nazrul Islam disclosed all the matters related to the tournament at a press conference held at the conference room of Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday. Vice-President of Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation and Head of Sports & Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Administrator of Bangabandhu National Stadium Md Yahya also spoke at the conference.
The competition will be held in six categories. They are: 60 Kg, 65 Kg, 70 Kg, 75 Kg, 80 Kg and Above 80 Kg.
A total of 100 participants from 35 teams will take part in the three-day long bodybuilding tournament.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Taka three lakh and fifty thousand while Walton Group has given Taka three lakh to Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation (BBF) and BBF will bear rest of the expenditure from its own fund.
