The Walton 1st Open Wrestling Championship began at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council on Sunday.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation (BAWF) and First Senior Additional Director of Walton FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn inaugurated the wrestling competition as the chief guest. Deputy Director of Administration of Walton Ashiq Al Mamun, General Secretary of BAWF Tabiur Rahman Pahlowan and Joint-Secretary of the Federation Mesbahuddin Azad were present at the time.
The weight categories of the competition for men are: 57 kg, 61 kg, 66 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg and 125 kg.
The weight categories of the competition for women are: 48 kg, 51 kg, 55 kg, 60 kg, 63 kg, 69 kg, 75 kg and 90 kg.
