The Walton 1st Open Tennis Tournament begins on September 3 at the National Tennis Complex in Ramna.
Bangladesh Tennis Federation will arrange the tennis competition under auspices of Walton Group.
Above 200 players from different clubs and associations will take part in the six-day long tennis competition.
Regarding the ensuing tennis meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of National Tennis Complex in Ramna on Wednesday.
Head of Sports & Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, AGM of Walton Group Mehrab Hossain Asif, General Secretary of Bangladesh Tennis Federation Mir Khurshid Anwar, Director of the Tournament Committee Lutfur Rahman Santoo were present at the conference.
The competition will be held in 13 events. They are: Men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, boys’ (under-18) singles, girls’ (under-18) singles, boys’ (under-14) singles, girls’ (under-14) singles, boys’ (under-12) singles, girls’ (ubder-12) singles, boys’ (under-10) singles, girls’ (under-10) singles, boys’ (under-8) singles and girls’ (under-8) singles.
Tk one lakh and forty eight thousand of prize-money will be given among the winners.
