Today is the birthday of noted TV and theatre actress Wahida Mollick Jolly. This year she will not get the opportunity to pass time only with her family members. Today Jolly has to be engaged to take part in shooting of a drama serial over the day.
But only in evening she may get sometime to pass time with her husband actor Rahmat Ali and two sons, she said.
Before going to the shooting spot of the serial Jolly will be present at RTV’s live celebrity talk show Tarokaalap today.
Later she will be engaged with shooting of Ajoy Sarkar’s directed serial Hanif Chowdhury’r Ajob Sangsar at BFDC.
She requested all to pray for her to celebrate her birthday. Sokal Ahmed’s Kheya and Al Hajen’s Lorai are Jolly’s acted new serials.
Jolly acted daily soap Shatti Tarar Timir, directed by Afsana Mimi, is being aired on ATN Bangla now.
It may be mentioned that Jolly’s acted first TV play was Siddiq Hossain’s directed and Momtaz Uddin Ahmed’s written story based play Ei Ki Jwalaton. It was aired on Bangladesh Television in 1986.
Her acted first TV serial was Salauddin Lavlu directed and Gazi Rakayet scripted Bongshogoti. Her acted first telefilm was Zahidur Rahim Anjan’s directed Bijmontro, which story was written by Masum Reza.
Jolly acted first movie was Saidul Anam Tutul’s directed Adhiyar. She also worked as a costume designer in this movie.
She got the National Film Award in category of Best Costume Designer for Gazi Rakayet’s directed movie Mrittikamaya in 2013. Her acted last movie was Dr Arup Ratan’s Swargo Thekey Norok, which is waiting to release now, Jolly said.
