Staff Reporter :March 16 is the birthday of noted Tagore exponent Waheedul Haq. To mark his birthday, leading recitation troupe Konthoshilon is going to arrange a two-day get together festival under the banner of Waheedul Haq Smaronik Milonutsab 2016 at Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of the Central Public Library in the city’s Shahbagh area on March 11 and 12. Information Advisor to the Prime Minister Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury will be present as chief guest at the inauguration of the two-day event on Friday at 10:00am. President of Sammilito Sangskritik Jote Golam Kuddus, General Secretary of Bangladesh Abritti Samunnay Parishad Ahkam Ullah, Presidium Member of Bangladesh Group Theatre Federation Jhuna Chowdhury, President of Bangladesh Pothnatok Parishad Mannan Hira, among others, will be presented as special guests on the occasion. Dance, solo and group recitation performances, baul songs, etc are included in the two-day festival.This was announced by convener of the festival noted recitation artiste Mir Barkat at a press conference held at Jatiyo Press Club yesterday.
