BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday claimed that the voters were not allowed to enter the upazila polling centres.
Even all BNP polling agents were also beaten and driven out of the booths, he further claimed.
Ther BNP leader made these allegations at a press conference at the party’s central office at Nayapalton in capital yesterday.
Voting for upazila elections was held on Monday in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district and Satkania upazila of Chattogram district.
“Though voting started as usual in the morning, voters were not allowed to enter the center,” he alleged.
The BNP leader said, “Voters who voted in the local government elections and the last national elections are now shown dead on the voter list.”
He also said, “Big corrupts are being kept hidden in the name of so called arrest of some small corrupt persons. Keep away from covering many corruption secrets that have taken place in the last 10 years in the name of development.”
