Member of BNP Central Committee, former MP Alhaz Shofi Chawdhury gir called upon the voters to cast their votes in favour of the sheaf of paddy, electoral symbol of the BNP, ‘for the sake of restoring democracy.
Shofi Chawdhury made the urge while addressing a roadside rally in Fenchugonj Sadar Union in Fenchugonj Upazila on Tuesday .
‘If people want to restore democracy, they have to cast votes to sheaf of Paddy. There will be no accountability in the country sans change in state power. Autonomy will be continuing in the country’, the BNP leader said.
He further said ‘We formed Jatiya Oikyafront with Dr Kamal Hossain for the sake of democracy. People have to be united for ensuring a free and fair election and ‘restoring’ their right to vote and democracy in the country’.
Shofi Chawdhury also pledged that all educated unemployed youths will be brought under unemployment allowance net until they secure a job.
Then, he continued his electioneering in Muglabazar, Noikhai areas of Dakshin Surma upzila. BNP, Jubo Dal, Chhatro Dal leaders joined the Rally.
