Director of Voice of America (VOA), Near East and Central Asia Division Ismail M. Dahiyat and Chief of Bangla Service Roquiya Haider on Thursday jointly hosted a farewell luncheon in honour of the departing Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Akramul Qader and his wife Rifat Sultana Akram at the VOA Office in Washington DC.
Journalists from all sections of the VOA attended the farewell reception.
Ismail M. Dahiyat highly commended the sincere and cordial efforts of the Ambassador Akramul Qader to promote Bangladesh’s causes and build excellent relation with VOA Journalists during his tenure in Washington DC.
Ambassador Akramul Qader lauded the role of VOA services, especially Bangla Service for its sincere help to build a good friendship between Bangladesh and the USA.
