A touchstone statue of Lord Vishnu was recovered from a village in Boalmari upazilla of this district on Sunday last while digging a pond.
According to police sources, on Sunday last while digging a pond beside the house of Kumud Ranjan Adhikary in village Poile under Chatul union of Boalmari upazilla a statue of Lord Vishnu was recovered.
The house owner informed the upazilla parishad which was later recovered yesterday (Monday) by the Assistant Commissioner (land) Kaniz Fatema.
The upazilla administration handed over the statue to Boalmari police.
