Viqarunnisa Noon School and College’s principal Professor Fauzia Rezwan has been removed and made officer on special duty (OSD).
The Ministry of Education took the decision on Tuesday.
She was placed under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary as the OSD.
Fauzia Rezwan was made OSD following various allegations against her. Following her appointment, various allegations including appointment of an administrative officer violating the government rules, were raised against her.
Sources at the Ministry of Education said Fauzia Rezwan allegedly directed a teacher to tamper the written examination paper of appointment. As the matter came to light, Viqarunnisa Noon School and College’s governing body president and Dhaka Divisional Commissioner launched an inquiry. Following the submission of the inquiry report to the Ministry of Education, Fauzia Rezwan was made OSD on Tuesday.
Former principal of Sabujbagh College Fauzia Rezwan, an official of the BCS Education cadre, was appointed as Viqarunnisa Noon School and College’s principal last year on deputation.
