Viqarunnesa Noon School& College, Holy Cross College, Dhaka Commerce College and Tongi Amzad Ali College moved into the semi-finals of the Walton 1st Inter-College Women’s Baseball Competition at Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in Dhanmondi on Tuesday.
Today Holy Cross College will face Tongi Amzad Ali College in the semi-final while Viqarunnisa Noon School & College will take on Dhaka Commerce College in the semi-final at the same venue.
Earlier, Secretary of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh Awami League Harunur Rashid inaugurated the baseball tournament by releasing the balloons as the chief guest while veteran noted sports organizer Farida Akter Begum, Operative Director and Head of Sports & Welfare Department of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn were present with him as special guests.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Aminul Islam Liton delivered the address of welcome at the opening ceremony.
